What you'll receive

What happens when an employer raises a reference check on you.

When an employer raises a reference check, you receive an email with a link to a secure page. On that page you can:

  1. Review what the employer has requested and what information we collect.
  2. Consent or decline to have your referees contacted.
  3. Nominate your referees (up to ten).
  4. Track the progress and replace referees if needed.

What we collect

We collect your name, email, role and the details you provide about your referees — their names, work emails, employers and your relationship. We do not collect your date of birth, address, ID documents, criminal or health data.

Your privacy

Your data is retained for 3 months after the check closes, then deleted. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
